Join the World Bank and the Global Women’s Institute in celebration of One Billion Rising as they host a special performance at the Preston Auditorium in the World Bank on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.  One Billion Rising is the biggest mass action to end violence against women in human history.  The campaign, launched on Valentine’s Day 2012, began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime.  In 2015 people will come together to express their outrage and defiance in the face of the injustices that women and girls face around the world.
