The parallel event held by Together for Girls will increase awareness about the importance of comprehensive post-rape care and the critical importance of timely access to health services. It will feature global and national-level leaders and advocates, including survivors, service providers, and youth, who are dedicated to advocating for post-rape care in a variety of settings. The event will provide information on the importance of this critical service and discuss the current barriers to survivors receiving care, including unsupportive laws and policies, stigma and lack of awareness of the benefits. It will also highlight what changes are needed to promote access to care for vulnerable populations, specifically adolescent girls and children. The event will also feature artwork from young women and girls from across the world who were asked to use their creativity to illustrate how they would address global issues facing adolescent girls.
