On September 1st, the SID GID Beijing +20 discussion series will explore progress made since 1995 in providing inclusive and equitable quality education at all levels, including early childhood education, basic education, higher education, and nonformal education. Panelists will comment on the progress made, the policies and practices that made the progress possible, and the challenges and opportunities for moving forward. At the launch of the No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project report (NoCeilings.org) in March, which highlighted both significant progress and significant barriers, Melinda Gates suggested that we “not confuse progress with success”. Panelists will also discuss emerging issues that are requiring greater linkages between the issue and other sectors.
