The Women’s Studies Program of George Washington University will host Anastasia Gage of Tulane University as part of their 2016 Speaker Series. Dr. Gage will discuss female genital circumcision, its effects, and strategies to prevent and address the practice. Dr. Gage received her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and has published extensively on female genital mutilation, child marriage, and other issues relating to the health and wellbeing of adolescent girls. The event will be held at 805 21st Street, NW in the School of Media and Public Affairs, room B07.
