Addressing Teen Intimate Partner Violence: A Training for Youth-Serving Professionals

This skill-building training discusses the specifics of teen intimate partner violence (IPV), warning signs, different types of abuse, and obstacles that youth face when looking for help. We will cover tips for communicating with youth, community resources related to dating abuse, civil and criminal law about domestic violence and legal options available to youth. This training is appropriate for youth-serving professionals in any field. At the end of this training, participants will: have a basic understanding of dating abuse, be able to pinpoint warning signs of dating abuse, understand the basics of being allies to young people, and have the tools to discuss intimate partner violence and provide resources to young people.
