November 25, 2014 - December 10, 2014

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign that starts on November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and ends on December 10, Human Rights Day.  The campaign hopes to raise awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue at the local, national, regional, and international level.

he 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.  This year, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women invites you to “Orange YOUR Neighborhood.” Take the UNiTE campaign to local streets, shops and businesses, and organize “Orange Events” in your own communities.
