The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. This year it took place from March 9-20 in New York City.  Almost 9.000 people registered for the session with countless others attending over 400 parallel events.  Naturally it was a time to take stock of progress, highlight missed opportunities and shortcomings, and chart a path for the years to come.
